Congratulations to Dorothy Slyziuk for putting in the extra time and effort to complete the Bakery Advance Training program!

This program is available for Co-op Team Members that excel in their current position and have demonstrated the abilities, skills and drive to pursue the requirements for future positions. 

Dorothy has demonstrated all of these qualities and more. You can find her serving our members, customers and fellow Team Members with excellence at the Bakery department. 

This highly-valued training is provided free of charge to Co-op Team Members and can be completed on their own time while working at a Co-op location.

Dorothy pursued the Advance program because she loves to learn new things to get a better perspective of how things work. Her passion for learning and growth are inspiring. After 30 years of working at Co-op, there are always opportunity for  growth and development. Dorothy began her career in the Bakery/Deli of the original store and took care of preparing all of the Value-added items in each department including meats. She developed her own recipes and and has a knack for knowing what people will like. If you've ever had a chance to watch her do a cake decorating demonstration — you would be amazed! She makes it look so simple. She is creative and so caring.
